The e-mail addresses of the recipients of our newsletters and their other data described in this notice are stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA. Statistical research and statistical analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. This information is used to technically improve our services based on technical data or audiences and your reading habits based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined by IP address) or access times.
Statistical surveys also include determining whether newsletters are opened, when they are opened, and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our nor MailChimp's goal to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and adapt our content or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
Online access and data management
There are instances where we refer newsletter recipients to the MailChimp websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link that allows newsletter recipients to request the newsletters online (for example, in the event of problems with the display in the e-mail program). In addition, newsletter recipients can subsequently correct their data, such as the e-mail address. Also, MailChimp's privacy policy is only available on their site.

4. COOKIES
Accepting cookies is not a condition for visiting our websites. However, we would like to point out that our website and services will only have limited functionality if you do not allow us to place cookies.
What are Cookies? Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Basically, there are two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your data carrier for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to set up our websites and our offers accordingly for you and makes it easier for you to use them, for example by storing certain data in such a way that you do not have to keep repeating them.
Which cookies does Nordicoil.nl use? Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (so also session cookies). Session cookies are necessary, for example, to offer you the shopping cart function on multiple pages. We also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. On a subsequent visit, it is then automatically recognized that you have already visited our site and which items and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifespan 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and are automatically deleted after the specified time. These cookies serve in particular to make our services more user-friendly, effective and secure. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, to get information on the page that is specifically tailored to your interests. The exclusive purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offer as well as possible to the wishes of your customer and to make surfing with us as comfortable as possible for you.
What data is stored in the cookies? Only pseudonymous data is stored in the cookies used by Nordic Oil. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number and your personal data is not assigned to this identification number. your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be assigned to you will not be placed in the cookie. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymised information, e.g. which pages of our shop were visited, which products were viewed, etc.
What is Onsite Targeting? On the Nordic Oil websites, data is collected on the basis of cookie technology in order to optimize our advertising and the entire online offer. This data is not used to identify you personally, but is used exclusively for a pseudonymous evaluation of the use of the homepage. Your data will at no time be merged with the personal data stored by us. This technology allows us to offer you advertising and/or special offers and services whose content is based on the information obtained as part of the clickstream analysis (e.g. advertising aimed at the fact that only sports shoes have been viewed in the last few days) . Our goal is to make our online offer as attractive as possible for you and to present your advertisements that match your areas of interest.
Are there also third-party cookies? Nordicoil.nl uses a number of advertising partners that help to make the internet offer and websites more interesting for you. Therefore, when you visit the websites, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive. These are temporary/permanent cookies that are automatically deleted after the specified time. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifespan 14 days to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and are automatically deleted after the specified time. The cookies of our partner companies also only contain pseudonyms, usually even anonymous data. This concerns, for example, data about which products you have viewed, whether something has been purchased, which products have been searched for, etc. Some of our advertising partners also collect information about which pages you have previously visited or which products you have been interested in, for example, to be able to show you the advertising that best suits your interests. This pseudonymous data is never merged with your personal data. Your sole purpose is to enable our advertising partners to contact you with advertising that may be of interest to you.
Re-Targeting Our websites use so-called re-targeting technologies. We use these technologies to make the internet offer more interesting for you. This technology makes it possible to address internet users who are already interested in our shop and our products with advertisements on the websites of our partners. We are convinced that inserting a personalized, interesting advertisement is generally more interesting for the Internet user than advertising that does not have such a personal reference. These ads are displayed on our partners' pages based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous usage patterns. This form of advertising is completely pseudonymous. No user profiles are merged with your personal data. By using our site you consent to the use of so-called cookies and to the collection, storage and use of your usage data. In addition, your data will be stored in cookies after the end of the browser session and can be retrieved, for example, on your next visit to the website. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future by refusing cookies in your browser settings.
How can you prevent cookies from being stored?
You can set your browser so that it only accepts cookies if you agree. If you only want to accept the Nordic Oil cookies, but not the cookies from our service providers and partners, you can set your browser to "Block third-party cookies". In general, the Help function in the menu bar of your web browser will tell you how to refuse new cookies and how to disable cookies that have already been received. Detailed information on how to configure the settings in the browser you are using can be found under the following link. We recommend that you always log out of shared computers that are set up to accept cookies and Flash cookies.
5. NOTIFICATION FOLDERS
With each access to the pages of nordicoil.de, the usage data is transmitted by the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The stored data records contain the following data: Date and time of the call, name of the called side, IP address, referrer URL (original URL, from which you came to the web pages), the transferred data set, as well as product and version information of the browser used. The IP addresses of the users are deleted or anonymized after the end of use. In case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual data on personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or can only be assigned with a disproportionate amount of time, money and labor. We evaluate this log file data in anonymous form in order to further improve our offer and the Nordic Oil Shop and make it more user-friendly, to find and correct errors more quickly and to monitor server capacity. For example, it can be checked at which time the Nordic Oil Shop is particularly popular in order to use and offer the right data volume to guarantee you the fastest possible purchase. In addition, an analysis of the log files enables us to detect and correct any errors in the Nordic Oil Shop more quickly.

The plugins are deactivated by default on nordicoil.nl and therefore do not transmit any data. You can activate the plug-ins by clicking the "Activate social media" button. The plugins can of course be deactivated with one click. If these plugins are activated, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network as soon as they call up a website of our Internet presence. The content of the plugin is sent directly from the social network to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. By integrating the plugins, the social network receives the information that you have accessed the respective page of our website. If you are logged in to the social network, the visit can be assigned to your account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the Facebook "Like" button or by posting a comment, the corresponding information is sent directly from your browser to the social network and stored there. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by social networks, as well as your rights and settings in this regard to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information of the respective networks or websites. You will find the links below. Even if you are not registered with the social networks, websites with active social plug-ins can send data to the networks. An active plugin sets a cookie with an identifier each time the website is visited. Since your browser sets this cookie every time you connect to a network server without being prompted, the network can use it to create a profile of which web pages the user who called the cookie has accessed them. And it would then also be possible to assign this identifier to a person later - for example when logging into the social network later. We use the following plug-ins on our websites: Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. If you do not want social networks to collect data about you via active plug-ins, you can deactivate the social plug-ins by clicking on them on our websites or select the "Block third-party cookies" function in your browser settings. Then the browser will not send any cookies to the server for embedded content from other providers. However, with this setting, other cross page functions in addition to the plugins may no longer work.
8.2 FACEBOOK
We use plugins from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). You can find the link to Facebook's privacy statement here: Facebook's Privacy Notice.
8.3 TWITTER
We use plugins from the social network Twitter, which is operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Twitter"). You can find the link to Twitter's privacy policy here: Twitter Privacy Policy.
8.4 PINTEREST

9. SOCIAL LOGIN
We offer you the opportunity to register directly with us with your existing Facebook profile. If you want to use this feature, you will first be redirected to Facebook. There you will be asked to log in with your username and password. Of course we do not take note of your login details. If you are already logged into Facebook, this step will be skipped. Facebook will then tell you what data is passed on to us (public profile, friends list, e-mail address and current place of residence). You confirm this with the "OK" button. We use the transmitted data to create your customer account, whereby your friends list is of course not stored by us. There is no further permanent link between your customer account and your Facebook account. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and the setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information.
